This monster is a sleeper from the 1970s with a ton of power. David West began building amps in the late 1960s that catered to the American rock band. The most iconic band that utilized West Labs was Grand Funk Railroad. Guitarist Mark Farner and bassist Mel Schacher made the West Fillmore a staple of their wall of sound.
The Avalon is a 50 Watt bass amp that sounds just as good on guitar. A thick sound is produced using two 12AX7 and two 12AT7 preamp tubes and two EL34/6CA7 output tubes. The 2×15 cabinet pumps some serious air.
This is a true vintage gem that has been completely serviced by our team.
